Privacy Policy
Effective April 7, 2026
1. Overview
Thrive ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-guided self-exploration app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Thrive you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Anonymous account identifier. When you first open Thrive, an anonymous account is created automatically. This generates a unique, random identifier (UUID) so the app can function. No personal information is required at this stage. Optional account details. If you choose to link an account to sync progress across devices, we collect the email address and password — or phone number — you provide. Milestone and badge data. When you complete sessions, we record limited metadata (the mode completed and the date). If you have linked an account, this data is synced to our servers so it can appear on your other devices. Subscription information. When you subscribe to Thrive Pro or purchase session credits, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We receive a purchase confirmation through our subscription-management partner, RevenueCat, which links your subscription status to your anonymous identifier. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Device permissions. Thrive may request access to biometrics (Face ID / fingerprint) for the optional Privacy Lock feature, and microphone access if you use voice input. These permissions are processed on-device and the raw biometric or audio data is never transmitted to our servers. Anonymous usage analytics. We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — which modes are used and how sessions end — to improve the experience. No conversation content is ever transmitted.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
Session conversations. Your session conversations are stored only on your device. They are transmitted to our AI provider in real time solely to generate responses, but they are not stored on our servers or retained by us after the session ends. Conversations clear automatically from your device after a few days. We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, browsing history, or device advertising identifiers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to: • Operate and maintain the app (authentication, session delivery) • Sync your milestones and badges across devices when you link an account • Manage your subscription and session-credit balance • Improve the app and fix issues • Comply with legal obligations
5. Third-Party Services
Thrive relies on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate: Supabase — authentication and server-side data storage (account identifiers, milestone data). RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat receives your anonymous identifier and purchase receipts from Apple or Google to verify entitlements. AI provider — session conversation content is transmitted in real time to our AI provider to generate responses. This data is not stored after the response is delivered. Speech recognition — if you use the voice input feature, audio is processed by the built-in speech recognition service provided by Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android). Audio is transmitted to their servers to convert speech to text and is not stored by Thrive. Please refer to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies for details on how they handle speech data. Apple App Store / Google Play Store — handle payment processing for subscriptions and in-app purchases. Each third-party service processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Storage and Security
Server-side data (account identifiers and milestone metadata) is stored on servers operated by Supabase, protected by encryption in transit and at rest. Session conversations never leave your device in stored form — they exist only in memory during active transmission to generate AI responses. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
Conversation data is stored locally on your device and clears automatically after a few days. It is never retained on our servers. Account and milestone data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we will delete the associated data from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You can use Thrive without providing any personal information — the app works fully with an anonymous account. If you have linked an account, you may delete your account and all associated server-side data directly from the Account screen in the app. You can also submit a deletion request at thrivenowforever.com/delete-data or by emailing support@thrivenowforever.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection laws, including the right to access, correct, or port your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the methods described above.
9. Children's Privacy
Thrive is not intended for anyone under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If we learn that we have collected data from someone under 17, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and, where practical, notify you within the app. Your continued use of Thrive after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, please reach out through the Send Feedback option in the app.
